The Los Angeles Rams have been a franchise that has benefited greatly from UDFAs throughout its history. In recent years, General Manager Les Snead has done an impressive job finding gems later in the draft, like Puka Nacua, and signing talented undrafted players like Alaric Jackson. Here are three UDFAs from this year’s class who could make the Rams’ final 53-man roster and become impact players on the team.
Los Angeles Rams UDFAs Who Could Make An Impact On The Team In 2025
LB Shaun Dolac, Buffalo
Dolac is an absolute joy to watch play football. Dolac joined Buffalo as a walk-on but ended his career as the MAC Defensive Player of the Year and a Consensus All-American. Insane production in college with a nation-leading 168 total tackles, 19 tackles for loss, and five interceptions in 2024. He has tremendous instincts and plays the game with a non-stop high motor from the very first snap of the game to the very last snap of the game. In coverage, Dolac had the highest slot PFF coverage grade of any linebacker in the country in 2024.
The problem is that Dolac is an undersized linebacker from Buffalo with short arms for the position. There are legitimate concerns that he will not be able to translate well to the NFL. However, it is hard to ignore the production he had in college. Despite his physical limitations, Dolac has the instincts, football IQ, coverage ability, and motor to make up for it. Linebacker is one of the weaker positions on the Rams roster, and Dolac has a good chance to at least earn a role as a depth linebacker and core special-teams contributor on the team.
OL Trey Wedig, Indiana
Wedig has taken snaps all over the offensive line with over 150 snaps at left guard, right guard, and right tackle during his college career. He had his best season as a full-time right tackle in 2024 for Indiana, where he helped the program reach the College Football Playoff and have its winningest season in program history. Wedig is a smart and experienced offensive lineman with a big frame and good strength. He isn’t the most athletically gifted player, but he is a good enough athlete with decent footwork and explosiveness. The Rams have done a good job building up a solid group of starting offensive linemen, but there is still room for improvement with offensive line depth. Wedig’s experience and versatility to play both guard and tackle could be a big factor in him potentially winning a rotational offensive lineman spot on the final 53-man roster.

IOL Willie Lampkin, North Carolina
Similar to Dolac, Lampkin is an experienced and skilled player with impressive film, but he has physical limitations that could hold him back from becoming a productive NFL player. Lampkin is an aggressive and high-effort blocker who has exceptional technique. He was a dominant run blocker at North Carolina who had a great finishing mentality as a blocker. Despite his smaller size, Lampkin does possess good strength and plays with great leverage. However, at 5-foot-10 and 279 pounds, Lampkin is not just undersized, but he is an extreme size outlier at any position on the offensive line. It is possible that Lampkin won’t be able to have a long NFL career at his size, but he has the skill to play in the NFL.
