The Los Angeles Rams will be without some of their key starters on Sunday against the Seattle Seahawks as they get ready for the playoffs. LA’s backup quarterback, Jimmy Garoppolo, will get an opportunity to earn the three seed for the team if he can get a victory in limited capacity, but after being knocked out of the playoffs by the Rams, Seattle will be doing all they can to get a victory. Here are my bold predictions for Sunday’s matchup.
Blake Corum finishes with the most yards by a Rams running back in a single game this season
This play didn’t count, but do think it shows what’s missing in the Rams run game.
Blake Corum hits the cutback lane at the last seconds, makes a guy miss, and takes this 32 yards. Would have been longest run play for the Rams this season.

Kyren Williams will be resting on the sidelines this weekend after carrying the ball over 300 times this season. He will be watching Blake Corum, LA’s third round draft pick, get the opportunity to start as the team’s featured back. For all the players to watch against Seattle, Corum might be one of the few that can earn himself more reps in the playoffs with a solid performance. He will be running behind an offensive line that is also resting some of its starters (Alaric Jackson, Rob Havenstein) so it will have to be quite the individual effort to be effective. In Corum’s limited capacity this season he has shown an ability to be explosive but has not had the chance to stay on the field long enough to get hot. His best game of the season came against the Philadelphia Eagles where he averaged 5.3 yards a carry on eight attempts that went for 42 yards. With the potential to earn more reps in the playoffs, I am predicting that Corum gives it everything he’s got and rushes for over 122 yards on the ground against a Seahawks team that has given the 15th most rushing yards this season.
These Pro Bowl snubs combine for five sacks
Jared Verse & Braden Fiske have been a PROBLEM

The argument could have been made that both Braden Fiske and Kobie Turner were deserving of Pro Bowl honors during voting but it was Jared Verse that became LA’s only player to get selected in 2024. Fiske will likely finish right behind his FSU teammate in Defensive Rookie of the Year honors for his incredible efforts this season (8 sacks, 2 forced fumbles, 10 tackles-for-a-loss). Turner has followed his incredible rookie campaign with another valiant effort; he currently ranks 2nd in the league in hurries (42), 5th in total pressures (53), and 6th in sacks (8) on the year. Both players will be on the field against a team that has allowed the 4th most sacks this season (53) which is why I am predicting that the two Pro Bowl snubs will have a big Sunday with a combined five sacks against Geno Smith.
When it is all said and done, LA will be matched up against the Detroit Lions
BREAKING: Lions trading Matthew Stafford to the Rams for Jared Goff, two first round picks, and a third round pick. (via @RapSheet) pic.twitter.com/5j6U4NiAUd

Ever since Jared Goff was traded away to the Detroit Lions and the Rams procured Matthew Stafford, the two organizations have been on a collision course. Last year the Lions barely came away with a victory in the first round of the playoffs and in the same calendar year took down LA in Week 1. It feels as though the two teams are destined to take turns being each other’s kryptonite for as long as Stafford continues to play in the NFL. The Rams would have to fall to the fourth seed and the Lions would have to lose against the Minnesota Vikings to fall to the fifth seed for the two teams to face each other next weekend (a very possible scenario). We will know by the end of Sunday who LA will be matched with, but my prediction is that it will be yet another Goff vs. Stafford revenge game when it is all said and done.
