Despite signing him to a contract this offseason, the Buffalo Bills could cut wide receiver Elijah Moore. One report believes there might be a chance that the Bills might release Moore since he’s been dealing with an apparent injury. Originally selected in the 2021 NFL Draft, the former Ole Miss product is hoping to win a starting job to play for quarterback Josh Allen as the fifth pass-catcher on this roster. However, it’s an uphill battle between him and Curtis Samuel for that final spot.
Khalil Shakir, Keon Coleman and Joshua Palmer have pretty much solidified their starting positions in this offense unless an injury happens. Samuel was a part of trade rumors earlier this offseason, so they could take that route to give Moore a legitimate chance there if they want him to succeed in Buffalo. It will be a difficult decision for the Bills to make, but they should be able to make something to work to keep at least both receivers on the roster. Despite that, Moore has the disadvantage in this situation since he only signed on a one-year deal, so the biggest question is whether he will last in this Buffalo offense or not.

Potential Next Teams
Los Angeles Chargers
The Los Angeles Chargers looked phenomenal in their preseason debut while rookie KeAndre Lambert-Smith was able to show plenty of flashes. However, the team still lacks a capable veteran who can help this pass offense with the experience that Justin Herbert needs if they want a legitimate playoff run. After Mike Williams’ retirement, they could pursue Moore if he becomes available on the market.
Baltimore Ravens
Meanwhile, the Baltimore Ravens have one of the most dangerous offenses in the AFC, at least with Zay Flowers, Rashod Bateman and veteran DeAndre Hopkins all being explosive playmakers for Lamar Jackson’s aerial attack. Despite that, the Ravens have had trouble the past few seasons, going through several veteran receivers, and it might be time to solidify their pass-catching unit by adding a long-term WR3. Moore has the upside, and the Ravens might know how to use him in the right moments, and he could impress if he signs in Baltimore.
Kansas City Chiefs
However, the Kansas City Chiefs will lose Rashee Rice for a couple of games due to an impending suspension this upcoming season. This leaves the team with veteran Marquise Brown and Xavier Worthy as two reliable receivers for quarterback Patrick Mahomes. Moore might not drastically change this offense, but if he becomes available, he could keep the offense from drowning.
Washington Commanders
It’s been an interesting offseason for the Washington Commanders as far as building a high-caliber offense for second-year Jayden Daniels. The Commanders have yet to offer WR1 Terry McLaurin a deal he wants, and recently acquired Deebo Samuel hasn’t been looking the best in practice. The team might need another overhaul in their pass-catching unit, other than Luke McCaffrey and Michael Gallup, so Moore joining could give Daniels some breathing room in the aerial attack.
