Slater ended the 2024 regular season as the Chargers’ second-highest graded player with a 91.0, behind only Justin Herbert’s 91.7. That overall season grade was also good for sixth among all offensive lineman and second among tackles. His 82.8 in run blocking and 90.4 in pass blocking were both among top five at his position, as well.
James was extremely productive this season as he took on a large role in the box and and around the line of scrimmage. His overall season grade of 80.5 was 6th among safeties who played at least 900 snaps on the season. His grades in run defense (88.6), tackling (84.7), and pass rush (76.7) were all within the top six at his position while his coverage grade was good for ninth (75.5). He also ended the year with a career-high 5.5 sacks and 10 tackles for loss to go with 93 tackles, seven pass breakups, and one interception.
Davis had another solid season as he returned 19 kickoffs for 524 total yards, good for an average of 27.6. He also found more of a footing in the offense in the final month of the season, posting a career high two touchdowns and 69 of his 112 total receiving yards in the final four weeks.
Last, but certainly not least, right tackle Joe Alt was selected to PFWA’s 2024 All-Rookie Team. He was Pro Football Focus’ 12th-ranked offensive tackle (minimum 900 snaps) with an overall regular season grade of 77.6. Among qualifying players, Alt’s run block (71.6) and pass block (79.4) grades were ranked 15th and 14th, respectively. Despite allowing six sacks on the season (tied for ninth most among tackles), Alt was one of just two players among the top 25 in sacks allowed to let up 20 or less pressures.
