When the Chargers take on the Broncos this weekend, you may notice L.A. players wearing cool-looking, cause-worthy footwear.
That is because the NFL has begun its “My Cleats, My Cause” initiative, which allows players to wear custom-designed cleats displaying charitable causes meaningful to them.
Here are a few examples, courtesy of the team’s official website:
Running back Austin Ekeler will wear cleats to honor the Austin Ekeler Foundation.
Quarterback Justin Herbert will wear cleats to honor Para Los Ninos.
Guard Zion Johnson will wear cleats to honor Team Impact.
Linebacker Kenneth Murray will cleats to honor Spike’s K9 Fund.
Safety Derwin James will wear cleats to honor the Safety Corner Foundation.
