“I Got You” – Could Giants Reunite With Former Three-Time Pro Bowler?

June 24, 2025 by Last Word On Pro Football

Despite it being a long shot, the New York Giants could reunite with former Super Bowl Champion Odell Beckham Jr. at some point. According to a source, the free-agent wide receiver isn’t closing down on a possible reunion with the Giants after appearing at the Fanatics Fest this past weekend in a panel. Originally selected in the first round of the 2014 NFL Draft, the former LSU product could, at some point, return to the NFL after a disastrous campaign with the Miami Dolphins that didn’t end on the terms that were expected. A fan at the event yelled at Beckham to encourage him to return to New York, and the star playmaker quickly responded, “I got you.”

This is interesting considering the stage that the Giants are in their rebuilding phase. Even though they’ve signed quarterback Russell Wilson to a contract, there’s no guarantee they will be building a long-term offense for him. Rookie Jaxson Dart has been turning heads at camp, so it wouldn’t make sense for the Giants to turn to an old veteran unless it’s at the right price. The current wide receiver corps is led by Malik Nabers, Darius Slayton, Wan’Dale Robinson and Jalin Hyatt, so it’s not like Beckham has a guaranteed spot to eat much of the snaps if he signs with the Giants.

No one should rule out seeing OBJ again in the NFL, which is why these contenders could consider bringing him back to push their stakes in the playoffs.

Could Giants Reunite With Former Three-Time Pro Bowler Odell Beckham Jr? – 4 Other Logical Fits

Potential Destinations

Baltimore Ravens

A reunion with the Baltimore Ravens could be possible since he didn’t have much of a terrible season with them. It wasn’t any spectacular, but he could serve in a situational role to finish the job of helping lead this team, led by Lamar Jackson, to their first Super Bowl since the Joe Flacco Era. He wouldn’t take away snaps from new free agent signee DeAndre Hopkins, who is impressing at camp or Zay Flowers and Rashod Bateman. Beckham could shine and break out a few yards to move the chains.

Los Angeles Chargers

Meanwhile, the Los Angeles Chargers need another reliable veteran if they want to see quarterback Justin Herbert move the team further in the postseason. Even with a powerful run game, they can’t ignore the fact that Herbert thrives throwing the football. With Quentin Johnston yet to prove himself and Tre Harris in developmental stages, the only chances they do have are Ladd McConkey and a washed-up Mike Williams. If the Chargers want a ring, they could target Beckham to provide some sort of relief to open the aerial attack.

Dallas Cowboys

However, the Dallas Cowboys have always been in rumors that they could sign Beckham, and since Jerry Jones loves to give second chances, this could be the right moment for both parties. Despite trading for George Pickens, it wouldn’t hurt to have more than two dynamic playmakers on one team. Even though Beckham is past his prime, he might find his footing playing behind Pickens and CeeDee Lamb.

Washington Commanders

The Washington Commanders are in the best spot, led by quarterback Jayden Daniels, who brought tight end Zach Ertz back to life. They’re hoping to do the same with Michael Gallup this upcoming season after bringing him out of retirement. As long as Terry McLaurin signs a contract extension with the Commanders, the team should be in good shape with McLaurin, Deebo Samuel and Beckham to eat up most of the snaps.
