The Chiefs could consider bringing back eight-time Pro Bowler wide receiver, Tyreek Hill in a trade One report speculates that Kansas City could bring back a familiar face since suddenly they need a new WR1. Rashee Rice is officially on IR so there’s no timetable for his return and Marquise Brown isn’t coming back until next year which is bad news for the Chiefs’ passing game. Hill was dealt to the Dolphins in 2022 leaving plenty of NFL fans in shock.
Kansas City will likely bring him back in the future since the Dolphins are off to a 1-3 start. Hill is already showing frustration but he said he wants to stay in Miami but feelings could change. The trade deadline isn’t until next month so that gives many teams and players plenty of time to consider their options. Hill said he’s happy and would like to end his career with the Dolphins.
“We’ve got a great situation here, my family loves it, I enjoy it, the weather’s great, the fans are great,” he said. “Obviously, my parents always taught me to control the controllable, I only can control so much. That being said, we all know the NFL is a business. Whatever happens, happens.”
His quote alone could be a hidden signal that he may request a trade. If Kansas City struggles in their passing game the next few matchups then that may force them to look at Hill as an option. One source believes it would be hard for the Chiefs to bring back Hill but it isn’t impossible. Hill isn’t ruling out the possibility of a trade.

Hill Trolls on Social Media
Hill continues to be active on Twitter after igniting a fire in recent trade rumors. However, he may be trolling posting a picture from Spongebob speculating he’s looking back possibly at Kansas City. Hill quickly followed it up by stating that he loves trolling. Even though he may now be joking around, it could lead to more speculation later on. It shouldn’t surprise anyone if he does request another trade so this is something to watch.
There isn’t anything thrilling about things in Miami considering the quarterback situation. Skylar Thompson can’t hold his ground and even if Tua Tagovailoa comes back, one can wonder if he’s the same. Hill hasn’t been productive in Tagovailoa’s absence so the thought of returning where he started could continue to be in the back of his mind.

Kansas City Needs Revival
It’s fair to say the passing game will struggle again for Patrick Mahomes. However, it didn’t mean much for Andy Reid and the offense since Travis Kelce and Isiah Pacheco are in the lineup. Times are changing and since they’re without Pacheco and have a struggling Kelce, they could see a struggling offense. Hill would be able to revive this team’s chemistry if the Chiefs are desperate.
Other Potential Trade Destinations
Los Angeles Chargers
There was speculation that Hill could retire after saying once his contract was over, he would hang his cleats. However, after signing his extension, this means he’s going to stay in the league longer. Justin Herbert’s only reliable weapon on the passing attack is rookie Ladd McConkey. Quentin Johnston and Joshua Palmer continue to do nothing special which means they’ll eventually need a superstar.
Jim Harbaugh must understand that Herbert is a passer more than he is a runner. As much as he loves running the football, they have to get someone to catch those deep balls and make a few plays.
Baltimore Ravens
Since Hill will likely retire soon in the next five years, he will probably go to a contender. Zay Flowers continues to be Lamar Jackson’s consistent receiver so Hill could accommodate him. Rashod Bateman and Nelson Agholor are still solid but nothing on the level of Flowers. The Ravens could finally make something happen to dethrone the Chiefs by signing Hill.
