The Chargers placed Hayden Hurst and AJ Finley on IR and have activated Deane Leonard off of injured reserve.
Ahead of the Chargers’ Monday night football date with the Baltimore Ravens, the team made a handful of roster moves to clean up the injuries on the roster.
First, the Chargers are placing tight end Hauden Hurst and safety AJ Finley in injured reserve. Both players were ruled out for tonight’s game and it looks like the Bolts believe they each need much more time to rehab before seeing the field once again.
In more positive news, cornerback Deane Leonard has officially been activated off of injured reserve and he’ll make his return tonight against the Ravens.
As for other corresponding moves, the Chargers have signed Eli Apple to take one of the vacant slots left by Hurst and Finley. After that, the team announced the elevations of safety Tony Jefferson and edge rusher Caleb Murphy to the active roster for Monday Night Football.
Murphy was elevated against the Bengals last week following Khalil Mack being ruled out with a groin injury and it looks like he’ll be relied upon again if Mack can’t go very long despite entering tonight’s game as questionable.
