The Chargers are back in the playoffs again after the Colts lost to the 49ers on Monday night.
The Chargers clinched a postseason berth on Sunday with their 34-17 win over the Cowboys, followed by a loss by the Colts.
The Chargers are currently riding a 4-game winning streak into the final two regular-season games. The Chargers are playing their best football of the season with the playoffs around the corner.
The Chargers are still in control of their destiny to win the AFC West, though the Broncos are currently 1st in the division.
Justin Herbert said after the game that:
“I think the really cool thing about this team is that we’ve really taken it week by week. We’re never looking too far ahead or looking too far back.”
The Chargers’ defense has been coming up big lately, helping the team’s current win streak.
The Chargers are now 11-4 after the Week 16 win, and the team clinched a playoff spot a week earlier than they did in year 1 under head Coach Jim Harbaugh in 2024.
The Broncos lead the division at 12-3 but lost Sunday to the Jaguars, who are now 12-3 as well. The Chargers won the first meeting earlier this season and are looking to remain perfect, going 6-0 against the AFC West.
The Chargers host the Houston Texans on Saturday, December 27th.
Kickoff for the game is at 1:30 PM.
