6-Year Starting Center Signs with Chargers on Contract Extension

March 11, 2025 by Last Word On Pro Football

Bradley Bozeman Contract

Seven-year veteran center Bradley Bozeman signed a new contract with the Los Angeles Chargers. Bozeman, a former sixth-round pick, spent the 2024 season with the Los Angeles Chargers but also played for the Baltimore Ravens and Carolina Panthers.

2024 was another solid season for Bradley Bozeman. Signing with the Chargers in the offseason, the center started all 17 games and finished the season with a 61.2 PFF grade, the 29th-best mark out of 40 eligible players. While he didn’t set the world on fire, he was good enough to help the team earn a Wild Card birth in the first year of the Jim Harbaugh Era. Unfortunately, the team went one-and-done in the playoffs with a lopsided loss to the Houston Texans.

Bradley Bozeman originally entered the league as a sixth-round pick in the 2018 NFL Draft. Selected by the Baltimore Ravens, the Alabama product didn’t do much of anything as a rookie and spent most of the season on the bench. However, he overcame his low draft capital and earned a starting job in 2019. Blocking for breakout MVP Lamar Jackson, Bozeman started his career at left guard before moving to center in 2021. The Ravens made the playoffs in three of Bozeman’s four seasons with the club but never made it beyond the divisional round.

Following the expiration of his rookie contract, Bradley Bozeman signed a contract with the Carolina Panthers. Earning the starting job, the sixth-round pick finished his first season in Carolina with a 63.1 PFF grade. He followed that up with an equally respectable yet unremarkable 62.2 grade in 2023 as the talent-deprived Panthers finished the season with the worst record in football.

Since signing his rookie contract, Bradley Bozeman has appeared in 113 games while making 94 starts. While on the field, the Alabama product has made it to the playoffs four times but has yet to make it to a Super Bowl or even a conference championship game.
