Darryn Peterson, the five-star Class of 2025 shooting guard from Huntington Prep (WV), had an “amazing” visit to USC last weekend.
“The visit was amazing and the energy was awesome!!” he said “I love Coach Muss’ willingness to develop players, and willingness to put the ball in my hands and run the team as a freshman. His attention to detail and stats provided on things I do well and things I can improve on have been the best so far.
“USC will be a hard act to follow.”
The 6-foot-5 Peterson is working with a top eight of Arizona State, Kansas, Kansas State, Kentucky, Ohio State, USC and Washington.

He took an official visit to Kentucky for Big Blue Madness in October and visited Kansas in June.
Peterson is considered one of the top prospects in high school basketball regardless of class and a future NBA lottery pick.
“He’s a killer,” one NBA scout told ZAGSBLOG. “He’s my favorite to watch. “And I like his approach. He goes hard at everyone.”
