Every college football program is being hit with attrition this week as players announce their intentions to enter the NCAA transfer portal when it opens on Monday.
One of the newest names to explore his options is UCLA five-star freshman quarterback Dante Moore, who told 247Sports’ Matt Zenitz on Thursday that he will be going portaling.
The No. 3 quarterback and No. 5 overall recruit in the 2023 class, according to 247Sports’ Composite Rankings, Moore chose the Bruins over LSU, Oregon and others, flipping to UCLA from the Ducks one year ago.

As a true freshman, Moore started five games and played in nine, throwing for 1,610 yards, 11 touchdown passes and nine interceptions.
“For these next upcoming years, I just want to go to a place where I can get developed,” Moore told 247Sports regarding his priorities as a transfer. “That’s the main thing is really development, making sure you’re bettering yourself every day and having a staff around you that’s going to help develop you.”
UCLA finished the regular season 7-5 after losing three of their final four games. Ethan Garbers, who had been a reserve in 2021-22 after transferring in from Washington, closed out the year as the Bruins’ starting QB.
