With Chip Kelly in the process of leaving UCLA for Ohio State, the school will need to conduct a national search for its next head coach.
Assuming the deal is finalized, Kelly will become OSU’s next offensive coordinator and replace Bill O’Brien, who is leaving for Boston College. O’Brien had only been the OC for a few weeks before he interviewed for the BC job.
Per Brett McMurphy, Minnesota head coach P.J. Fleck is expected to be a “top candidate” for the UCLA job once everything is likely agreed upon.
UCLA coach Chip Kelly leaving to become Ohio State’s OC, @BruceFeldmanCFB reports. When Day was New Hampshire’s QB, Kelly was UNH’s OC. Expect Minnesota’s P.J. Fleck among UCLA’s top candidates

Fleck has been Minnesota’s head coach for seven seasons and just led them to a 6-7 record this past season.
Overall, he’s led Minnesota to at least nine wins in three of his seven seasons at the helm and has a record of 50-34. Before that, he was the head coach at Western Michigan for four seasons (2013-16) and finished with a 30-22 record.
Let’s see where this goes.
