As we review the season of every player for the Lakers, we’ll also take a daily look at the moments, games and quotes that fans enjoyed most from this season. Today, we start with Trey Jemison.
Signed as a two-way player midway through the season, Trey Jemison quickly became a fan favorite. His playstyle — which was basically just being a ball of energy running around the court, for better or for worse — endeared him to fans.
He also came to a team that needed him to play minutes, which helped. He earned enough trust from the coaching staff during the regular season to get regular minutes and make an impact.
That led to him being part of a second unit that earned a reputation for being physical. And Jemison embodied that, never more so than when he said he wanted to actually fight people, one of the best quotes from any player this season.
