Stephen Curry’s Top 5 Historic Moments of 2025

December 31, 2025 by Last Word On Pro Basketball

From record-breaking achievements to explosive scoring performances, Stephen Curry’s 2025 was nothing short of historic.

As the year unfolded, Curry certainly delivered a series of moments that have shaped Golden State’s campaign. Not only that, but it further cemented his legacy as one of the game’s all-time greats. Here are his top five most historic moments of 2025.

Stephen Curry’s Top 5 Historic Moments of 2025

5. Leadership Recognized: NBA Twyman-Stokes Teammate of the Year

Following the 24-25 season, Curry was awarded the NBA Twyman-Stokes Teammate of the Year Award. It recognized his leadership, mentorship, and selfless play. What makes the honor even more meaningful is that it is voted on by fellow players, highlighting Curry’s exemplary impact not only on the court but also off it. Even when the team faced challenges, his calm, drama-free persona shone throughout the season. It perfectly reflected the positive role model he has become over 16 years in the NBA.

4. Scoring Explosion: 56-Point Masterclass vs Magic

Curry’s highest-scoring game of 2025 came during a win away from home against the Orlando Magic during the 24-25 season. The four-time NBA champion erupted for 56 points, his fourth-highest total in a single NBA game. The greatest shooter of all time proved exactly why he holds that title. Curry’s trademark accuracy from deep was on full display, knocking down a 51-foot buzzer beater and 12 three-pointers. This was the first of three games in 2025 in which he reached the 12-three mark, later repeating this feat in April and December. Curry impressively outscored Orlando by himself in the third, 22-21, and finished the night by tying Rick Barry and LeBron James for seventh-most 50-point games in NBA history.

3. Surpassing MJ: Most 40-Point Games After 30

In a hard-fought 136-131 defeat to the Portland Trail Blazers, the Warriors ultimately came up short. However, Curry once again etched his name into the history books. The 11-time NBA All-Star recorded 48 points, surpassing Michal Jordan for the most 40-point games by a player after turning 30 in NBA history. The 37-year-old Warriors guard now has 45 such performances and shows no signs of slowing down heading into 2026.

2. Career Milestone: 25,000 Career Points

In a 115-110 victory over the Detroit Pistons in March, Curry became the 26th player in NBA history to reach 25,000 career points. He surpassed the milestone with a deep three-pointer midway through the third quarter. He then went on to finish the game with 32 points. The achievement further cemented Curry’s place among the NBA’s elite, as he now ranks 21st in the league’s all-time scoring list.

1. Making History: 4,000 Career Three-Pointers

Curry once again redefined what was thought possible in the modern NBA, becoming the first player in history to reach 4,000 career three-pointers. He achieved the milestone just two games after surpassing 25,000 career points, doing so in a matchup against the Sacramento Kings. He drilled a 28-foot sidestep three from the wing to secure the accomplishment.
Already the NBA’s all-time leader in made threes by a significant margin, Curry added yet another shooting credential to his extraordinary resume. The Warriors superstar further separated himself from the rest of the pack in 2025. Additionally, there’s little doubt that the year solidified him as the greatest shooter and one of the greatest point guards the game has ever seen.
