Stephen A. Smith’s “Stephen’s A-List” segment on Friday’s edition of First Take has a lot of people rolling their eyes after the ESPN analyst made it all about newly-minted Lakers draft pick Bronny James.
For Friday’s segment, Stephen A. came up with his list of top five names Bronny should call his father LeBron James when they’re on the court together. His ranking was (from fifth to first) “Captain,” “Two-Three,” “Bron Bron,” “Old Man” and finally “Pops.”
While Stephen A. and his colleagues found the segment funny, it doesn’t look like anyone else did. Retweets and replies to the segment on social media are filled with people calling it all kinds of synonyms for “stupid” that he chose to do a listing like this one:

“This is the best possible show you can put out there @espn really? Yikes. This network has become a joke,” one user wrote.
“What the (expletive) are we doing here? Rather than discuss sports that are still happening, we are talking about this?? Really?” wrote another.
“This is stupid,” a third bluntly replied.
“This the goofiest [expletive] this show has ever done.. My Lord,” a fourth replied.
In fairness, it is the middle of the offseason for three of the major sports in this country and First Take doesn’t exactly have the personnel to talk about international soccer or regular season baseball at length.Â
