Pro Football Hall of Famer Shannon Sharpe made his thoughts clear on the ongoing LeBron James and Stephen A. Smith feud. After a heated interaction on March 6 during a Los Angeles Lakers-New York Knicks game, the relationship between James and Smith was completely damaged.
The ESPN analyst went on a media tour to discuss his viral interaction with James. The player responded during an interview on The Pat McAfee Show on Wednesday, even comparing Smith to Taylor Swift.
Sharpe, one of the most vocal James defenders and Smith’s colleague, chimed in on this feud on Wednesday’s episode of “Nightcap.”

“If I was Stephen A., I would’ve left him alone,” Sharpe said. “Address it, ‘This is what happened, he came over to me, said what he said, I’m gonna address it now and I’m gonna be done with it.’
“Every time Stephen A. talks about it, it stirs it up again. I see both sides of the equation, but Stephen A. just needs to let it go… This is how LeBron I think took it, ‘You making it seem that I’m not a good father, that I’m not putting my son in the position to be successful.'”

Ever since the face-to-face argument, Smith has kept talking about the Lakers superstar. James has taken a different approach to the situation. Besides responding to Smith on the McAfee show, he trolled the analyst on social media after Smith said he would have swung at the player if he tried to get physical.
