Although the 2024-25 NBA season is officially underway, Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James is currently in the process of negotiating a deal with the production company that’s in charge of “The Kardashians.”
According to Bloomberg, there’s a strong chance James will merge his film production, SpringHill Company, with Fulwell 73. This would be quite the merger for the four-time NBA champion. After all, Fulwell has been around since 2005. It was founded by James Corden and a few others. SpringHill Company, meanwhile, didn’t launch until 2020.
Even though SpringHill Company hasn’t been around for long, it did play a role in producing “Space Jam: A New Legacy.” Maybe, just maybe, merging forces with Fulwell 73 is the right move to take LeBron’s off-court brand to new heights.
Apparently, both companies see this move as a chance to “bulk up their businesses around unscripted and live programming.”
Here are more details from Bloomberg’s report:
Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James is in talks to merge his TV and film production business, SpringHill Co., with Fulwell 73, the British film, TV and music company behind The Kardashians and Carpool Karaoke, according to people familiar with the matter.
The two companies have been talking for months, said the people, who asked not to be identified because the negotiations are ongoing and could fall apart. They didn’t disclose any potential terms.
James has not yet commented on SpringHill Company and Fulwell 73’s negotiations.
Just like most negotiations, this will probably come down the money. If it makes sense from a financial standpoint, Fulwell 73 will have the star power of LeBron and the Kardashians.
For now, NBA fans will have to just wait for an update on this situation.
