In a great story that only keeps getting better, Quincy Olivari has apparently signed a deal Curry Brand, Steph Curry’s brand with Under Armor.
The feel-good story of the season for the Lakers only continues to get better. Quincy Olivari broke out for the Lakers during training camp and the preseason and became a fan favorite, particularly after his interaction with Steph Curry in the team’s final exhibition game.
To come full circle on that story, Shams Charania of ESPN reported on Friday that Olivari would be signing an endorsement deal with Curry Brand, Steph Curry’s solo brand with Under Armor.
Olivari is set to become the second active NBA player to sign with Curry Brand, joining Kings star De’Aaron Fox, who received a signature shoe that debuts today. https://t.co/fTpJxcYdxw

During the preseason, Olivari met Curry pregame to share a moment. Years and years ago, Olivari got a Curry jersey signed by the guard as a kid. Speaking after the preseason game, Olivari got emotional talking about how much it mean to meet his idol.

It’s very cool, then, to see this come all the way around to see him sign a deal with Curry Brand. This is likely only a deal that has him being provided Under Armor and Curry Brand gear for free, but no matter what, it’s a cool story.
Olivari started strong this season in the G League, having a huge opening weekend. However, an ankle injury has sidelined him for an extended period. That’s a bit of an extra blow for him as the Lakers’ injuries would have opened up minutes for him had he been healthy.
But it’ll be very cool that, when he takes the court next, he’ll be decked out in some Curry Brand gear.
