The 2024 NBA Draft will be held over the next two days at Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York.
In total, 58 players will hear their names called and their dreams of being drafted realized. Bronny James could be one of them.
LeBron James’ eldest son entered the draft process after one season at USC. Despite pedestrian stats (4.8 points, 2.8 rebounds and 2.1 assists per game), Bronny left school early, banking on his skill set and pedigree to earn him an opportunity at the next level.
The topic of LeBron and Bronny playing together at the next level has been frequently discussed for some time now. Even though LeBron’s agent Rich Paul said recently that the 39-year-old superstar is not dead set on teaming up with his progeny, many pundits are still expecting the Los Angeles Lakers to call on Bronny at some point in the draft.
The Lakers have two picks this year, No. 17 in the first round and No. 55 in the second. In our opinion, they will use the latter one to select Bronny.
During the draft process, Bronny reportedly only worked out for the Lakers and Phoenix Suns, though Paul claims the Dallas Mavericks, Minnesota Timberwolves and Toronto Raptors were also interested.
Wherever he goes, Bronny reportedly won’t play on a two-way contract, which could complicate a team’s desire to bring him in.
As for what Bronny himself is hoping for over the next two days, the 6-foot-3 guard told Paul he just “wants to hear my name called.”
