Predicting Leading Scorers for Duke 2025-26 Season

August 18, 2025 by Last Word On Pro Basketball

The 2025-26 Duke Blue Devils are returning half their roster but minimal scoring production. They are bringing in the best freshman class in the country which will be responsible for offsetting the significant losses. With that being said, let’s take a look at who will produce the scoring punch for Duke and Jon Scheyer this season.

Predicting Leading Scorers for 2025-26 Duke Blue Devils

Cameron Boozer

Cameron Boozer comes in as the third ranked freshman in the country. At 6’9 ranging from 220-250 pounds, Boozer is a solidly built, athletic superstar. He is without a doubt the star of this Duke group. His ability to play from the block and the wing will also greatly enhance his scoring ability. Boozer may start slow from a scoring perspective but as time goes on he will pick it up quickly.

Boozer will shoot upper 30s% from three and probably 50%+ from the field. He will also have the benefit of playing with his brother who is a great playmaker and numerous other high quality playmakers. He is going to excel in short role situations and pick and pop situations. He will probably have the most trouble with his back to the basket to start but that will develop as well. This will be the spot he will find himself in the least as he will play with an additional big most times.

Boozer will average around 15.5 points per game which should lead this well-rounded Blue Devils team.

Isaiah Evans

Isaiah Evans is a fan favorite and the guy people wanted to see return the most. He had so many highlights last year but none bigger than the Auburn flame-throwing first half where he nailed six threes in what felt like a five second stretch. Evans is easily one of the best shooters in the nation and that is how he will get most of his points.

Evans is a guy that scored 50+ in high school and is a volume shooter. You likely remember some questionable jumpers in his limited game action last year but many of them went in. This year, Evans will be a starter and a guy that is a focal point of the offense. That means a lot of jump shots coming. Evans may shoot a lower percentage but he will lead the team in total shots.

Isaiah Evans will average 14.8 points per game. There will be a 30 point game mixed in with some single digit games.

Caleb Foster

Caleb Foster is the other guy that has the potential to score early and often. Foster had a rough year last season but he stuck with it and showed flashes in March. He spent all summer in Durham and looks ready to rock. Wendell Moore and Tyrese Proctor were good freshmen that struggled as sophomores and had huge junior seasons. Is there a part three coming? Yes. Foster looks explosive and his quickness is his biggest attribute.

Foster has a funky jumper but he made it at a high rate in high school and his freshman year. This season, the expectation is for him to get to the rim and hunt his jumper once defenses respect his first step. He will also have the ball in his hands more than anyone.

Foster should average 12.7 points per game and consistently score in the teens. He is unlikely to have the huge scoring outbursts the two above will have but he also has a high floor given his anticipated usage.
