Los Angeles Lakers rookie Bronny James had a solid showing in his most recent Summer League appearance, logging 13 points, five rebounds, three assists and two blocks with a 50-percent field goal percentage in a win over the Atlanta Hawks yesterday.
He impressed a ton of fans – including some fellow NBA players.
Taking to X last night, Oklahoma City Thunder star Chet Holmgren saw Bronny’s stat line from the Hawks game and had a simple message for every: He looks like a professional basketball player.
“Looked like a pro,” Holmgren said.
It was a simply message but one that a ton of fans and analysts have argued against since before Bronny was even drafted.
Even some analysts who asserted mere weeks ago that he has the potential to be an NBA player are starting to waffle and suggest that he might be best in a fringe role.
As a result, plenty of fans who love Bronny James and want him to succeed were delighted to see that Holmgren was on their side:
“Chet W laker nation will defend you now,” one user declared.
“I hope the OKC PR team never pressures Chet to stop tweeting like he does. Good for the people,” wrote another.
“Chet knows ball,” a third wrote.
