LeBron James is many things — a 21-time All-Star, a four-time NBA champion, a four-time MVP and the league’s all-time leading scorer. But someone who doesn’t complain to the refs? Not so much.
In his NBA broadcasting debut this weekend, ESPN’s Jay Bilas had basketball fans heated when he claimed that LeBron isn’t usually one to look to officials for a whistle after a no-call on one of the King’s three-point attempts.
“LeBron James thought he got hit on that jump shot, and I think he did,” Bilas said.
“You can see the tangible frustration etched on the faces of both he and [Luka] Doncic tonight,” his partner Mark Jones added.
“And he’s not a complainer,” Bilas stated.

Others begged to differ.
“This guy lost all credibility,” John Kriesel replied. “The most preposterous statement of all time.”
“Jay Bilas clearly only watches college basketball. Nobody complains more than Lebron, other than maybe Luka,” a user said.
“Listen…I rooted heavy for Lebron when the wolves weren’t in the playoffs all those years (BaNdWaGon, yeah whatever man, anyway) he’s one of my favorite all time players,” a fan commented. “But he definitely is a complainer lol but his greatness levels it out for me so it doesn’t annoy me.”
“LeComplain James.”
“I thought I was the only one that heard this 😂😂😂,” another person laughed.

As amazing as LeBron is, and has been, he’s definitely not above barking at a referee or two when he feels the whistle isn’t going his way — and the same goes for other stars.
He and the Lakers will attempt to even up their series with the T’Wolves on Tuesday night in Game 2 at crypto.com Arena.
