While he didn’t exactly put up Wilt Chamberlain numbers in his “revenge game” against the Dallas Mavericks last night, Los Angeles Lakers superstar Luka Doncic still dropped a triple-double on the Dallas Mavericks.
And if there’s one person you know absolutely hated to see it, it’s Mavericks shareholder and former owner Mark Cuban.
Early in the game, Doncic set the tone with a big three-point shot that extended LA’s lead. He immediately let out a guttural yell in the direction of the Mavs’ bench.
The TV cameras then panned to Cuban, who gave a half-smile at the scene in a moment that has now gone viral.

NFL fans couldn’t help but feel sorry for Cuban as the man didn’t have any say over how his beloved team ultimately moved the player he once prized as the face of the franchise.
“This trade would have NEVER happened if Mark Cuban was still the majority owner…” one user lamented.
“You have to understand the Mavericks and how much Mark Cuban did for this Franchise for decades He made Dallas a place for the players and a culture/destination that Free Agents would want to play at… For new majority ownership to come in and pack up one of the best players this game has ever seen for an injured center when we already had two dominating ones is eating Cuban up inside and me too….” wrote another.
“He’s probably seething that they traded him. If he was still majority owner that GM would’ve been gone way before Luka ever was within 100 feet of the table lmfao,” a third wrote.
Doncic finished the game with 19 points, 15 rebounds and 12 assists in a 107-99 win over his former team. His Lakers are now 14 games over .500 and would have the No. 4 seed in the Western Conference playoffs if the season ended today.
As for the Mavs, they’re 31-28 and holding onto their Play-In spot in the playoffs for dear life.
Will Luka’s arrival in LA create a new era of dominance for the Lakers? And what does the future hold for the Mavs?
