Marcus Smart was cleared to practice on Tuesday and could return to the Los Angeles Lakers lineup for their NBA Cup quarterfinals game against the San Antonio Spurs.
Smart has missed the last two weeks with a left lumbar muscle strain.
“Back’s feeling good,” Smart said. “Felt good in practice today. So we did some tests, passed the tests. We’re going to give it a shot tomorrow. See how it feels.”
Smart is averaging 9.3 points and 2.9 assists on the season.
