The Los Angeles Lakers welcome the Chicago Bulls tonight, and Luka Doncic might have some special guests for the game. There are always Slovenian families that come to watch Luka play. That was the case in Dallas, and that happens again in Los Angeles. This time, Doncic had some special guests that asked him for help.
Luka Hosts Special Slovenian Guests For Lakers Bulls Game
Patrick Zrnko and his family came to watch the Lakers host the Milwaukee Bucks a few days ago. They flew from Slovenia, but they didn’t know that Luka, LeBron James, Austin Reaves, and Rui Hachimura would be out for the game. So, they posted on social media, asking Luka for some help. Patrick wrote,
“We came all the way from Slovenia, bought tickets for 1,000 €, and Luka, LeBron, Austin, Rui, Vando didn’t play. @Lakers could you provide us with something for the next game against the Bulls?”
Luka instantly responded to them and made sure they had tickets for the next game against the Chicago Bulls. Zrnko posted an update on social media, saying,
“I don’t have a words right now. Luka saw our tweet and sent me 3 tickets. Thank you very much. And thank u all Lakers fans for your retweets and love.”
Lakers Might Have LeBron, Luka, and Rui Tonight
The Slovenian family might have gotten tickets for just the right game. For tonight’s game against the Bulls, the Lakers have upgraded LeBron and Rui to questionable. Additionally, Luka, Austin Reaves, Dorian Finney-Smith, and Jarred Vanderbilt are probable.
As it sounds right now, the Lakers might have their full lineup after a while. LeBron has been out for almost two weeks. Of course, the rest was much needed for the league’s oldest player. Now that LeBron might be back, it is time for the Lakers to get some reps with their main guy. In LeBron’s absence, Luka and Austin picked up the slack. But the Lakers will go only as far as LeBron takes them.
The Lakers Need a Win Tonight
The Lakers are entering a stretch when they play four games against relatively easier opponents. If they win all four, they will make a push for the second seed in the Western Conference, ensuring they have home-court advantage all the way to the Western Conference Finals. They play the Bulls at home, before going on a short east-coast trip with stops in Orlando, Indiana, and Chicago.
The Lakers survived the tough six games in eight days stretch, going 3-3. Considering they were without LeBron, they will take that.
Not the First Time Luka Brings Slovenians to His Games
Luka always makes sure people from Slovenia get to see him. Last year, the Dallas Mavericks organized an “I Feel Slovenia” night on January 22nd. It was the third time the Dallas Mavericks organized the event. For that reason, Luka flew a family from Slovenia to watch him play. The group of seven people made special T-shirts for the game. Their shirts read Luka MVP. Seven people, seven letters, and a great experience.
