We may be a little closer to understanding the reason after James and the social accounts for his Mind the Game podcast on Tuesday took to X to flaunt their success to one of their early haters: Brian Windhorst. In a video posted to the podcast’s X account, Windhorst can be seen saying NBA fans “want to talk about the drama” and that “if [James] sits down with (co-host) Steve Nash and all he does Xs and Os for an hour, people aren’t going to like that, either.” Soon after it was posted, James added a message atop the video. “Long ways from being done!! Sucks they have to listen to 2 guys who know nothing about basketball talk about basketball! Sorry
@SteveNash,” he wrote.

OG Anunoby is just the second player in NBA history to rack up more than 40 three-pointers, more than 35 steals and more than 20 blocks in a single postseason.

A fun advanced stat called BPM (box plus/minus) … basically a bit like wins above replacement.
Career Playoff BPM for these guys:
MJ – 11.1, Joker 10.8, Lebron 10, Steph 7, Jimmy Buckets 5.7, Brunson 4.0, Pussy KAT 1.1 … for the KAT lovers he’s barely above an average guy! – 10:06 AM

More on this storyline
Bobby Marks on Lakers: I expect them to be extremely aggressive this offseason, especially with LeBron James, he’s got one year left on his contract. I think there are three things here: You’ve got to take advantage of the $60 million in expiring contracts when you’re looking at certainly players like Gabe Vincent and Rui Hachimura. The second thing is they showed their hand at the trade deadline when they made that Mark Williams trade that wind up failing him on his physical. They are going to go out and get a center this off season. We’ll see how that goes. You’ve got one first-round pick to do to do that. And then the third thing is keep an eye on August 2nd, that is when Luka Doncic is eligible to sign that extension. So you’re trying to build for the now, but I think you also have to have an eye for the future when eventually LeBron does retire here. -via YouTube / June 3, 2025
Who was the toughest person to play in the NBA? Sergio Rodriguez: I’ve been very lucky in my career to have great teammates around me. It would be very hard to say one or another. And the same with opponents. I have played against some of the best of the history in the NBA: Kobe Bryant, LeBron James… Many, many of the guys that dominated the game for many years. Also here in Europe, we have Kyle Hines, who I play against and with… Vassilis Spanoulis, Juan Carlos Navarro, teammates like Felipe Reyes, Rudy Fernandez, Sergio Lull. So I’ve been very lucky. -via HoopsHype / June 3, 2025
ESI: Where do you stand in the Michael Jordan vs. LeBron debate? Dominique Wilkins: “I don’t believe in the GOAT and all that stuff. How can you say a guy is the greatest of all-time when they haven’t played against some of the guys that were the greatest of their era? Like a Wilt Chamberlain, Bill Russell. “But I will say this: Michael Jordan made six Finals and won six championships with the same team. And he won three championships after retiring to play another sport. Nothing like that has ever been done before. MJ did some things that no one will ever do. So if I’m going with the best player to ever play, that’s where my mindset sits. I’m going with Michael. That’s no disrespect to anybody, but I’m looking at what he accomplished in a short period of time.” -via Esports Insider / June 2, 2025
