LeBron James starred in a tell-all interview with Pat McAfee on Wednesday. The Los Angeles Lakers superstar, who is not famous for giving many interviews, sat down with McAfee and his crew to discuss several topics, including his relationship with Michael Jordan and the Luka Doncic trade and more.
James took the opportunity to compare Stephen A. Smith to Taylor Swift and criticize the ESPN analyst for making things personal regarding his son Bronny’s NBA career.
More than that, James took a shot at reporter Brian Windhorst for trying to push the notion that they have had a close relationship.

Windhorst was considered one of the most reliable sources in the NBA world when it came to LeBron James. That, however, came to an end in 2022 when Windhorst revealed he and James “moved on” from their prior relationship.
“In years past, I had messaged with him, but we both kind of moved on,” Windhorst said on Sports Illustrated’s The Media Podcast. “LeBron doesn’t have personal relationships like that with reporters. He hasn’t for a long time.”
James acknowledged Windhorst during his interview with McAfee but not in the light many would have thought. After covering the Akron native in Cleveland, Miami and Los Angeles, the player himself shot down any notion Windhorst pushed in the past.
