LeBron James practiced with the South Bay Lakers on Wednesday, marking his first practice session of the season.
James has been out all year due to sciatica.
“He was able to participate in the practice,” Lakers coach JJ Redick said. “Got up and down a little bit with just some, like, warmup transition drills and progressed to 5-on-5 in the half court, and got, I think about 12 to 15 possessions of live 5-on-5 contact.”
James is set to enter his 23rd season in the league.
The Lakers have a 8-4 record to start the year.
