LeBron James, Steph Curry, Kevin Durant and Joel Embiid led Team USA to a thrilling win over Serbia in the Olympic semifinals that saw them overcome a 17-point deficit to secure their spot in the gold medal game. Now that the dust has settled, LeBron has a message for his teammates.
Taking to X a short while ago, LeBron posted an image of himself looking intensely at teammates Curry and Durant. His message in the caption was “1 more!!”
That “1 more” is, of course, the gold medal game that will take place this Saturday against France.
Curry led the way for the comeback with a whopping 33 points – the most by any American this entire tournament – while LeBron had a triple-double that included a game-leading 12 rebounds and 10 assists. It was the second triple-double of his Olympic career.
This has been LeBron’s first Olympics since the 2012 Games in London, when he and the late-great Kobe Bryant led the team to a second consecutive gold medal.
A win over France this weekend will secure a third gold medal for himself and would make teammate Kevin Durant the first-ever four-time gold medalist in U.S. national team history.
There’s a lot to play for this weekend and LeBron is clearly amped up for it.
