LeBron James has done many things that will never be replicated again in NBA history, but his greatest accomplishment might be getting his son drafted to the same NBA team as him. LeBron and Bronny are the first father-son duo to play in the league simultaneously, which has led to a lot of criticism toward LeBron.
After a recent ugly spat about Bronny’s merit as an NBA player with Stephen A. Smith, James was quietly watching his son hit a three against the San Antonio Spurs, not moving an inch off the bench while his teammates celebrated enthusiastically.

One fan provided an interesting reason behind why LeBron was so stoic at that moment, primarily because of how his relationship with his son has become fuel for the media to hate not only on him, but also the 20-year-old Bronny.
“That’s so sad how guarded & reserved he feels he has to be when it comes to Bronny, all because these nasty vultures are watching his every move ready to POUNCE.”
Watch Bron.

Bronny has shown gradual improvement as an NBA player all season. While his averages in the league are unimpressive at 1.7 points on 22.7% from three, he’s averaging 20.6 points, 4.9 rebounds, and 5.2 assists in the G League.
He might not be an NBA-ready prospect, but there’s definitely a future where he’s a capable NBA player soon.
It’s obvious that LeBron’s presence impacted Bronny’s draft stock, but it’s only an opportunity. What Bronny makes of his career is left up to him.
This opportunity comes because of who his father is, but he seems to be motivated to earn an actual role in the NBA instead of washing out in a couple of years because he never became anything.
LeBron is always cheering for Bronny. It’s just that he can’t be doing it publicly just in case it’s used against him or his son.
