LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers were downright embarrassed by the Phoenix Suns on Tuesday night in what was easily their worst performance of the season.
James finished Tuesday’s game with 18 points, 10 assists and eight rebounds. While that looks like a great stat line, the truth is he just didn’t bring a ton of energy to the floor. One of his former teammates, Kendrick Perkins, called him out for showing “unacceptable” body language in a pivotal Western Conference clash.
Perkins, who was teammates with LeBron in Cleveland back in 2018, took to social media to share his thoughts.
“Bron was horrible tonight defensively and his body language was unacceptable,” Perkins wrote on X.

Obviously, James wasn’t the only player who struggled for the Lakers. They only made 8 of 34 attempts from beyond the arc. Role players such as Rui Hachimura, D’Angelo Russell and Gabe Vincent failed to provide a spark for JJ Redick’s team.
Luckily for LeBron and the Lakers, they’ll have a chance to redeem themselves tonight against the San Antonio Spurs.
It’ll be interesting to see what type of energy James brings to the table after just coming off a lackluster performance, especially since it’s a back-to-back scenario.
The Lakers are 10-7 heading into this Wednesday’s showdown with the Spurs. That puts them in sixth place in the Western Conference.
Tipoff is set for 8:30 p.m. ET. Oddsmakers have the Lakers as slight favorites.
