It turns out LeBron James isn’t just an MVP-caliber basketball player and wine connoisseur, he’s also a fan of comic books.
On Thursday morning, James revealed on social media that he used to collect comic books when he was younger. We’re not sure what inspired him to go down this path again, but he made it known that he’s interesting in purchasing more issues in the near future.
Since James isn’t sure what’s the best spot for comic books, he went on X, formerly known as Twitter, to ask his fans for some help.
“Best place to order comic books from??? Used to collect when I was younger. Batman being my fav,” James wrote on X. “I can order and read from iPad or best to do straight off the comic??”
Countless people replied with their best suggestions, including “Guardians of the Galaxy” director James Gunn. He told James that he’s willing to hook him up with comic books.
The official social media team for Invincible also responded with a generous offer.
“LeGOAT, any chance you’ve read Invincible? It’s probably the best superhero comic in the universe – a father teaching his son the game,” Invincible’s social media manager wrote. “Alley oop to the link to the first compendium here.”
It’s safe to say James should have no trouble figuring out how to purchase new comic books.
Considering LeBron’s favorite hero is Batman, we’d strongly suggest he reads “Batman: The Long Halloween” or “The Killing Joke.” Of course, that’s if he hasn’t already gone through those incredible stories.
