The Los Angeles Lakers have converted guard Quincy Olivari to a two-way contract. Olivari was previously signed to an Exhibit 10 contract.
The 6-foot-3 guard went undrafted out of Xavier at the 2024 NBA Draft. Olivari impressed throughout Summer League and the preseason to earn his spot with the Lakers.
To create the roster spot to sign Olivari, Los Angeles waived center Colin Castleton. The Lakers willingness to waive Castleton is, in part, related to the team’s belief that Christian Koloko will be cleared to resume his career.
Koloko was signed to a two-way contract earlier this offseason. The 7-foot center missed all of last season due to a blood clot issue. Koloko is reportedly feeling good and ready to resume his playing career but is still awaiting clearance from the NBA’s Fitness to Play panel.
