JJ Redick said that the Los Angeles Lakers had the “best practice we’ve had in months” on Monday as the team prepares for Game 2 against the Minnesota Timberwolves.
“We probably could have done a few more scrimmages,” added Redick about how the Lakers prepared for the series.
The Lakers lost 117-95 on Saturday for Game 1.
Redick said that the Lakers focused on offensive organization during the practice.
“Being organized is screening. Being organized is getting to the proper spacing. Being organized is getting the corners filled after makes and misses. That’s being organized,” said Redick.
Dorian Finney-Smith added that the team will have to do better defending threes. The Wolves shot 21-of-42 from three in Game 1.
“Try to get guys like Naz Reid off the line. He ain’t gonna shoot too many pull-up 2s. He probably going to the rim or shoot a 3, so we got to get him off the line,” said Finney-Smith.
