After his cameo appearance in the Los Angeles Lakers’ opening game alongside his dad, Bronny James hasn’t seen the court at all in their last three games. But that could change tonight.
Speaking to the media ahead of Wednesday’s game against the Cleveland Cavaliers in Bronny’s home state, Lakers head coach J.J. Redick hinted that Bronny could see some playing time. ESPN’s Dave McMenamin said that Reddick told the press he was considering a “tweak” in the rotation against the Cavs.
“JJ Redick, possibly hinting at Bronny James playing tonight, said there might be ‘a tweak’ in the rotation tonight,” McMenamin wrote on X.
McMenamin also shared a photo from the Cavaliers’ facility, which featured a photo of an 11-year-old Bronny James from when his father led the team to their first NBA title in 2016.

Bronny James made his NBA debut in the Lakers’ first game of the season in a winning effort against the Minnesota Timberwolves. He had one rebound and two missed shots in less than three minutes on the court.
He’s clearly not ready for extended time on the court right now, but with the way the team has been playing over the past week, they can probably afford to play a little fast and loose with the bench.
Lakers star Anthony Davis is leading the league in points per game and is an early contender for the NBA MVP award.
LeBron James is off to a strong start of his own, averaging 20 points per game. Not bad for a man at the age of 40.
Will Bronny James see the court against the Cavaliers tonight?
