The Los Angeles Lakers officially introduced their 2024 draft picks this week, including second-rounder Bronny James.
James, the son of LeBron James, will wear No. 9 with the Lakers, the flipside of his father’s No. 6.
Fans have been quick to joke about how Bronny looks in his first photos in a Laker uniform.
“Look like a LeBron Party City costume ad,” one person joked.
“This looks like a Lifetime movie cast LeBron and Austin Reaves,” said SB Nation’s Harrison Faigen about a picture of Bronny with LA’s first-round pick Dalton Knecht.

“Clipped Austin Reeves and LeBron James. Wow. How long does the series go for?” said another person, referring to the FX series about the Los Angeles Clippers.
“Bro is a Fortnite skin,” added another commenter.
“When you order Lebron from http://wish.com,” chimed in someone else.
While much has been made over LeBron influencing the Lakers to draft his son, new Los Angeles head coach JJ Redick insisted on Tuesday that the former McDonald’s All-American and USC guard earned his way into the organization.
“With Bronny, I want to clarify one thing you just said, which is [general manager] Rob [Pelinka] and I did not give Bronny anything,” Redick said. “Bronny has earned this.”
“For us prioritizing player development, we view Bronny as case study No. 1,” Redick continued. “His base level of feel, athleticism, point of attack defender, shooting, passing – there’s a lot to like about his game.”
