The return of Cameron Brink is closer than ever as she revealed on Saturday that she is cleared to return from her ACL injury.

After a long, long wait, Cameron Brink’s return to the court is imminent. Ahead of Saturday’s game against the Liberty, Brink was upgraded to doubtful, the first time she had been listed as anything other than out since her injury.

While she did not play in the contest, she did speak to Ben Pickman of The Athletic and revealed that she has been cleared to return and is focused on getting reps on the floor.

An update on Los Angeles Sparks Cam Brink:

-Coach Lynne Roberts said Brink won’t play against NYL on Saturday night, but Brink is nearing a return.

-“I’m cleared. It’s just getting reps at this point. Just getting back up to speed with everybody,” Brink told reporters Sat

Brink added she’s going to try and be patient once she does return. But: “Really excited to be able to just go out there and do what I love,” she said.

After NYL on Sat. night, LA returns home for 3 of its next 4 at home.

Brink initially suffered the injury in June of 2024. At the 2025 WNBA Draft, Holly Rowe of ESPN reported that the target date for her to return would be before the All-Star break at the beginning of July.

While that did not happen, it still shows this is the time period the team was always targeting as her return will only be a few weeks removed from that date.

For much of the time Brink has been sidelined, the Sparks have struggled. However, the team has surged on either side of the All-Star break, capped off with their best win of the season against the Liberty.

As Pickman noted, the Sparks return to LA for their next game and only leave California once before mid-August. Their only road trips are to Seattle and San Francisco before heading to Dallas on Aug. 15. In that sense, it’s a great time to reintegrate Brink into the roster.

It’s been a very long wait for Sparks fans, but Brink’s return to the lineup is, finally, closer than ever.
