Bronny James Reveals Special Reason For Wearing No. 9 Jersey

Bronny James is wearing No. 9 for the Los Angeles Lakers as he gets set to start his NBA career.

James recently revealed that he’ll be wearing No. 9 to pay homage to Juice WRLD.

“Juice has been a big part of me keeping calm in some situations I’ve been through,” James said.

Juice WRLD was an American rapper who passed away in 2019. He wrote a lot of great songs, many of which are listened to worldwide every single day.

James was drafted by the Lakers in the second round of the 2024 NBA Draft last week. He was the 55th overall pick.

He’ll get to play alongside his dad, LeBron, once he signs a new contract after opting out of his former one. It’ll be a dream come true for both, especially LeBron.

Bronny played this past season at USC before declaring for the draft. He also entered the transfer portal but felt it was best to continue his playing career in the NBA.

He’ll make his regular-season debut for the Lakers this October since that’s when the 2024-25 season starts. The full schedule will be announced at a later date.
