Los Angeles Lakers rookie Bronny James kept his head down and his fingers off the Post button during his run in the NBA Summer League this past month. But now that it’s over, it appears he’s back on.
Taking to his Instagram Story on Wednesday, Bronny made his first post in several weeks. It was a simple highlight video of his best moments in the Summer League with no caption or commentary.
Now Bronny just has to wait and see what the Lakers decide to do with him as they get closer to the start of the new league year.
He showed flashes of NBA talent but those were few and often far between as he finished with 8.8 points, 3.5 rebounds, and 1.0 assists per game with a 35.0-percent field goal rate and 15.8-percent from three, all while averaging over 25 minutes per game.
Bronny has no small amount of pressure on him though. The amount of criticism that the Lakers got for drafting him was more than any other second-round pick in perhaps the history of the NBA.
Off the court though, he appears to be doing everything right – minimizing distractions and after-hours controversies. That’s a very good sign.
