Bronny James was one of the few positives the Los Angeles Lakers had to show during Thursday’s loss to the Milwaukee Bucks at home. James tied fellow rookie Dalton Knecht as the team’s best scorer (17 points apiece) in a game the visitors won with a 118-89 score.
LeBron James’ firstborn showed glimpses of the player he could eventually become, making a good impression on fans. After the game was over, James was asked about the criticism he’s faced during his first NBA campaign.
The young guard said he’s not losing sleep over that, as he’s trying to better himself.

“The only thing that I can control right now is going in every day,” James said. “Stay ready to play, stay ready to learn, getting the work in after hours.
“There’s not really much I can really do about random people talking about me. Can’t really do much about that, so I just go to the gym and put my head down and try to get better.”

Ever since he declared for the NBA Draft, Bronny James was criticized by people saying he wasn’t ready for the league. Things became worse when reports suggested LeBron James threatened teams to not draft his son so the Lakers would.
Despite a rocky start to his professional career, spending time with the South Bay Lakers has helped Bronny James improve his game. He had his best outing against the Bucks after dropping 17 points, (7-of-10 from the field), grabbing three rebounds and dishing five assists.
