One of the famous Laker Girls is trending before the team’s critical Game 5 on Wednesday night.
The Los Angeles Lakers earned the No. 3 seed in the ultra-competitive Western Conference this season, but have thus far been outclassed in the playoffs by the sixth-seeded Minnesota Timberwolves. Minnesota won Game 1 in LA by 22 points, and after the Lakers evened the series in Game 2, the Timberwolves swept Games 3 and 4 at home, including a thrilling 116-113 victory Sunday to take a 3-1 series lead.
The Lakers now have to overcome a 3-1 deficit in order to advance. With the series moving back home to Crypto.com Arena, Laker Girl McKenna Doblie will be courtside rooting on the team tomorrow.
Doblie, a Portland, Oregon native in her second season with the Laker Girls, shared a photo of herself in action last week on Instagram before the postseason began.
“Dancin’ into PLAYOFFS🪩Let’s go Lakers🏀,” she captioned the post.
AÂ University of California, Irvine alum, Doblie also works as an instructor at 4PM Dance in Yorba Linda, California.
“At just 15, McKenna began teaching and choreographing, quickly becoming a sought-after private technique coach and dance instructor,” said Doblie’s 4PM biography. “Her enthusiasm for dance and choreography shines through in her work with children, where she inspires and nurtures young dancers.
“Her passion for dance and performance drives her to continually perfect her craft, making her an invaluable part of our team.”

Will Wednesday night be the final Lakers game of the 2024-25 campaign? There backs may be against the wall, but forward Rui Hachimura remains confident.
“We’re going to get one,” Hachimura said following Sunday’s loss. “Yeah, we’re going to get one.”
Game 5 between the Lakers and Timberwolves will get underway at 10 p.m. ET Wednesday on TNT.
