‘Amazing’ Paula Abdul Turning Heads With See-Through Outfit At 62

May 28, 2025 by The Spun

Former SEC Cheerleader Wins Miss America 2025 (1:32)

Paula Abdul has worn many hats in her years as a performer. From Lakers cheerleader to Janet Jackson’s choreographer to American Idol judge, she’s enjoyed an incredible career on stage.

And she’s still going strong at 62.

A user on X recently shared a video of Abdul performing on stage wearing a bold, see-through outfit that left little to the imagination. She did her performance on stage doing many of the same moves that she could pull off years or even decades ago.

“Should 62-year-old Paula Abdul be wearing that outfit on stage?” the user asked.

The answer from social media was overwhelming and unanimous:

She certainly can.

“62 year old Paula Abdul should be wearing whatever the heck she wants!” one user declared.

“She looks amazing! Her outfit covers all the important body parts unlike Miley Cyrus, Katy Perry, Halle Berry etc!” wrote another.

“She’s one of the very few who really can! That lady is toned, strong and graceful. She’s a testimonial to the the beauty of a life long dancer’s physique,” a third wrote.

“Yes. She looks great and moves well for her age. She’s always been a dancer so let her dance.”

“Don’t be a hater! She is a great dancer and she dances online with her family. If she can still dance like that, give her the props that she deserves. She’s still got it.”

“It’s not that revealing. And if it makes her happy, I say go for it. At least she’s not on stage making hateful political comments. She’s just having fun. It’s no big deal.”

Paula Abdul got her big start in entertainment as a Los Angeles Lakers cheerleader at the age of 18. She rose from that role into the cheerleading team’s head choreographer, and was eventually discovered by the legendary Jackson Five.

Abdul was recruited by Janet Jackson in the 1980s to become the choreographer for her, and helped propel Jackson to the height of commercial success in the 80s and 90s.

In the 2000s, Abdul reached new fame as one of the original judges of American Idol. In contrast to the blunt Randy Jackson and the brutal Simon Cowell, Abdul was by far the nicest of that original trio.

Through it all, she still performs and does a pretty good job at it.

Not bad for 62.
