Alex Caruso repped the Lakers at the Thunder championship parade

Alex Caruso decided it was best to wear his Lakers title ring as a chain during the Thunder championship parade.

Alex Caruso is now a two-time champion and while at the championship parade in OKC, he found his own way to show love to the Lakers.

Caruso showed up to the festivities rocking his 2020 Lakers title ring as a chain. He was also wearing a Caruso Mount Rusmore shirt and posed with the Larry O’Brien trophy, creating an iconic image.

Championship rings often end up locked away, so it’s pretty cool that Caruso found a creative way to wear his and have his Laker years be a part of this special day in his career.

Recently, there has been some controversy with Caruso and his Lakers title. He joked that this Thunder championship was his first “real one.” Even after he clarified that he was being sarcastic, that didn’t stop people from pushing their narratives.

Besides him clearly having fun during his postgame presser, Caruso said more than just those couple of words that caused a ruckus.

He also said that the Thunder title was “much harder” than the 2020 Lakers title. OKC didn’t have the veteran leadership L.A. had in 2020. That Lakers team dominated their postseason run while the Thunder had to win a couple of Game 7s to be crowned champions.

So, his overall statement was one poking fun at the haters and acknowledging how good that Lakers team was, rather than a slight at Los Angeles.

Lakers fans still love Caruso. The franchise letting him walk in free agency, even when he was reportedly willing to take a pay cut, is viewed as the organization’s dumbest misfire.

Now that he’s celebrating in OKC and still repping the Lakers with his championship ring, it should kill any speculation that he ever meant to take shots at the team.

Caruso will always be a baby Laker. While L.A. fans undoubtedly wish it were the purple and gold winning it all, it’s pretty awesome seeing Caruso winning again and getting the attention he deserves.

Keep flying high, Bald Eagle.
