A five-star wing in the 2026 class has named a top seven, according to multiple reports. Abdou Toure, a talented shooting guard/small forward in the rising high school senior class, is down to Arkansas, Florida State, Louisville, Maryland, Oregon, Providence and UConn, according to Joe Tipton of Rivals.

Throughout his recruitment, the 6-foot-5 Toure has picked up more than 20 scholarship offers. Those teams that have offered him include Providence, Connecticut, Arkansas, Florida State, Stanford, Mississippi State, Oregon, Penn State, Alabama, Louisville, Rutgers, Syracuse, Maryland, Pittsburgh, Washington, Texas A&M and Cincinnati, among others.
The Rivals Recruiting Prediction Machine currently has Providence out in front in Toure’s recruitment. Next up are Connecticut and Arkansas. To date, Toure has taken two unofficial visits to Providence, and one each to the Huskies and the Razorbacks, according to Rivals. Tipton noted that Toure is in the process of finalizing his official visit schedule for the coming months.
As he goes on more visits, the leader or leaders in Toure’s recruiting process will likely ebb and flow. Jamie Shaw, a Rivals national analyst, says that the two schools he’s hearing about the most often in Toure’s recruitment, when speaking to sources, are UConn and Louisville. Shaw says to also keep an eye on Arkansas.
It wouldn’t be a surprise if the Huskies ultimately prevail for Toure, who stars for a high school program in the state of Connecticut. Analysts say that UConn coaches have recruited Toure extremely hard for a while now. Plus, the Huskies are a blue-blood in college basketball and have won two of the past three national championships.

Storybook Junior Season
Abdou Toure was sensational during the 2024-25 campaign for Notre Dame High School in West Haven, Conn. As a junior, he averaged 25.2 points, 6.5 rebounds, 3.3 assists and 2.3 steals per game. Both Gatorade and MaxPreps named Toure their player of the year in Connecticut for the 2024-25 season. He was also named by MaxPreps to its junior All-America third team.
Last season, Notre Dame went an impressive 27-2 overall and was ranked No. 1 in Connecticut by MaxPreps. This past March, the Green Knights captured their second-straight Connecticut Interscholastic Athletic Conference (“CIAC”) Division I state title.
Looking ahead to 2025-26, Notre Dame will aim for a third consecutive state championship in Connecticut. Toure, with a strong senior year, will contend for All-America honors and should be in the running for showcases next spring like the McDonald’s All-American game.
Award-Winning AAU Campaign
This spring and summer in grassroots basketball, Toure proved a top performer for the 17U team of the Boston-based BABC in the Adidas 3SSB league. Per that circuit’s website, Toure averaged 15.4 points, 5.1 rebounds, 1.8 assists, 1.3 steals and 1.3 blocks per contest. He connected on 56.8 percent from the field, 38.9 percent from beyond the arc and 82.6 percent from the free-throw line.
At the 3SSB league’s season-ending playoffs last month in Rock Hill, S.C., Toure helped lead the BABC to the event’s quarterfinal round. Adam Finkelstein, the director of scouting at 247Sports, said earlier this month that Toure was one of the top wings on the 3SSB circuit this spring and summer.
On Wednesday, Shaw included Toure in a piece on the most explosive players in the 2026 class. At the time of this writing, the industry-generated 247Sports Composite placed Toure at No. 23 nationally in his cycle.
