The atmosphere inside the Intuit Dome has been absolutely electric for the LA Clippers.
The Clippers have found themselves back in contention after starting the season at 6-21. With recently acquired players Darius Garland and Bennedict Mathurin, the Clippers have gotten younger and more athletic in their new-look roster after the trade deadline.
New Clipper Bennedict Mathurin made history in his first Clipper home game. Mathurin put up 38 points in the Clippers 115-114 win over the Denver Nuggets. It tied his career high and set a new franchise mark for most points in a Clippers home debut.
Mathurin surpassed former Clipper Paul George’s 37-point debut performance with a new team.
The Clippers’ social media team made sure to get Mathurin on notice for the fans.
Bennedict Mathurin put on a show in his first home game with the Clippers. 38 points, five rebounds, four assists, three steals.
With the Clippers at 27-30, the team sits comfortably in 10th already in the play-in position if the season ended today.
The Clippers are also the hottest team in the league; after beginning the season at 6-21, they are 21-9.
