The Los Angeles Clippers have allowed one of their players to seek a trade to another team.
According to senior NBA insider Chris Haynes, the Clippers have given permission to PJ Tucker’s agent Andre Buck to work on a trade. Tucker continues to be away from the team while the Clippers and his agent work on a solution.
Tucker came over from the Philadelphia 76ers in the James Harden trade during the early portion of last season and has been frustrated with his lack of playing time dating back to last year.
He’s hoping he can go to another team and be a key cog in winning.
Tucker has been in the league since the 2006-07 season and has played for seven different teams. He’s had stints with the Toronto Raptors, Phoenix Suns, Houston Rockets, Milwaukee Bucks, Miami Heat, Philadelphia 76ers, and Los Angeles Clippers.
He has appeared in 883 games, averaging 6.6 points and 5.4 rebounds per game.
The Clippers opened their 2024-25 season with a great game against the Suns on Wednesday but lost in overtime, 116-113. Harden led the Clippers in scoring with 29 points and 12 rebounds.
Their next game will be against the Denver Nuggets this Saturday at 5 p.m. ET.
