In a thick playoff race, the Clippers are now trying to make up after going on 3 game losing streak. With a 3-game winning streak, the Clippers are doing their part to get to a top-6 playoff position and avoid being the play-in position. As a team, the Clippers have been playing better on offense, and the defense is now coming together in clutch situations as the team is heading toward the finish line of the season.
In the last game against the Kings, Kawhi Leonard hit a game-winning shot in overtime against Sacramento, which gave the Clippers a 111-110 win. Kawhi had 17 points against Sacramento. Harden has been playing so well the last couple of games. In Sunday’s game, he had 29 points, 9 rebounds and 11 assists. Zubac also contributed 22 points and 14 points to the team.
As the NBA playoffs are fast approaching, the LA Clippers need their stars to step up and lead the team to make a run for the playoffs. Another part of the Clipper’s 3-game winning streak, is also due to the impact of the team’s chemistry lately which has been so valuable for the Clippers team. Friday’s win against the Knicks was contributed by Harden who had 27 points, and Kawhi who had 20 points. LA Clippers won 105-95
Last week, Clippers stars Kawhi and James Harden put up historic performances, which is valuable as the team needs their star duo to help lead the team toward the playoffs. James Harden had his first 50-point game as a member of the Clippers since leaving the Rockets. James Harden’s 50-point game came on from the win at home against the Pistons. Also, Harden’s 24th 50-point game moves him closer to Kobe Bryant who is no.3 on the all-time 50-point game with 26.
Kawhi Leonard also made history last week for the Clippers. In Friday’s win against the Knicks, Kawhi passed his former Clipper teammate Paul Goerge 11th on the Clippers’ all-time scoring list!
