The Clippers are on a winning streak with their latest win over the Detroit Pistons at home on Sunday night.
Kawhi Leonard had a career high with the Clippers with 55 points, tying fellow Clipper James Harden for most points in franchise history.
The Clippers beat the Pistons, 112-99. The win streak extends to 4 games after the Clippers lost 10 of their previous 11.
The Clippers who are a veteran team mixed in with some young talent are starting to trend in the right direction after starting the season at 6-21, the Clippers are now at 10-21.
Kawhi Leonard said after the game that:
“Like I told (Lue), I would rather play another game than go out there and risk it.”
Kawhi Leonard, who missed 10 games at the beginning of the season, finally reached 40 minutes in a game during a victory over the Lakers last week.
Kawhi’s recent game against Detroit shows why he’s still the best in the league. He went 17 of 26 from the floor against the Pistons and 16 of 17 from the free-throw line while playing 39 minutes.
With the win against the Pistons, the Clippers are now only 2.5 games out of the play-in tournament.
Ty Lue is doing a much better job of getting the team back and right where they are supposed to be.
