NEW YORK — Kawhi Leonard and the Clippers took care of business against a struggling opponent.
Leonard scored 31 points and the Clippers overwhelmed the Brooklyn Nets, 132-100, on Friday night for their second straight victory and 10th in the past 12 games as they fight to hold on to sixth place in the Western Conference and avoid the Play-In Tournament.
Leonard shot 10 for 14 from the field (5 for 6 from 3-point range) and made all six of his free throws while finishing two points shy of his season high. He also had six rebounds, four steals and two blocked shots in just under 27 minutes before taking a seat for the night late in the third quarter.
